  • 2 Bikes
  • 3 Bike
  • 4 Bike
  • 5 Bike
  • 6 Bike

Types of Bikes

Different types of bikes are best suited to different bike racks e.g. a heavy eBike or Fat Bike is more suited to a Tow Bar Rack than lifting it up to a Roof Rack Mounted bike rack.

How Bike Rack Attaches to Vehicle

Number Plates & Lights

PLEASE NOTE: A light unit and license plate holder are required in some states

You are required to display an accessory number plate if you have a vehicle accessory such as a bicycle rack on your vehicle that blocks the view of your number plate. An accessory number plate ensures your number plate complies with visibility requirements.

It is also required by law, If a rear mounted accessory such as bike carriers are blocking the view of rear tail lights (brake lights and indicators) a light board is to be utilised.

Each Australian state has different ways for you to order your accessory number plates and different rules to follow. Prices and details on accessory number plates vary state to state. Contact your local transport department for more details.
